Should I use a manila envelope or a regular, small envelope ( I’d have to fold)? Its just two sheets of paper (a cover print out from the college and the actual resume). Is it unprofessional to fold the resume?

The manila envelope is 9 x 12, so how many stamps would I have to put if I used that? Its just sending to the next city. (forever ones)

1) Is this for a scholarship committee? No college I have ever heard of requires a resume – the info section on the Common App or their own forms is sufficient. Resumes duplicate info or generally provide info that’s of no value to the college.

2) If you still need to send it, just scan and email or fax it. It gets uploaded anyways. Your nice paper (folded or not) will be scanned and then shredded.

3) If you must send it, go to USPS.com to find the rate or go to your local mail counter. Shortcut for you: 3 stamps will be sufficient. The envelope is irrelevant. Folded pages is irrelevant.
