I am applying Early Action to an Ivy League whose deadline is November 4th. The school requires the SAT I and two SAT IIs (Subject Tests). I’m happy with my scores for the SAT I and ONE of my scores for the Subject Tests, but I scored a 610 on the French Subject Tests so I’m going to try Literature in November 2, which the college accepts. I haven’t sent ANY score reports to the college yet. I figure I need to do this soon.

Here are my questions:
Does CollegeBoard mail score reports or send them digitally to colleges (i.e. how fast is it?)?
Should I submit my French score now just to be safe in case I don’t do well on the Literature test?
Am I allowed to submit more than the two required Subject Test scores (i.e. could I submit all 3?)?
For Early Application, do I have to submit my Literature score blind, rushed, or both?

Yale accepts through the Nov SAT test if it arrives on time to be considered for EA and it will do so if you identify Yale as one of your free sends in your test registration. In other words, you should send the scores blind before knowing what they are. That is the fastest form of delivery since scores are usually sent a day or two before you even see them online. CB sends scores to Yale by putting them in an on-line account that Yale has with CB. In other words, sending and receipt occur at the same time. Nevertheless, you should not wait for scores to come out before sending them because CB’s processing time is longer then for the simple reason that many thousands order scores sent the moment they come out.

You could just have all scores sent as part of the Nov test sending but it is probably better to order what you have sent now. That avoids any risk of having no scores delivered on time if something bad happens with the Nov test such as a CB system failure or a delay for investigation for wrongdoing which can hold scores up for a month.

With Yale, you do not have the option to choose which scores you send since it requires you to send all test scores. If you send more than two subject tests it uses the highest two to determine admission.
