My junior DD has taken the SAT twice. Last May (sophomore year) she scored:
CR: 750 Math:630 Writing:750

She took the SAT a few weeks ago and did poorly. She had a bad cold and felt miserable during the test. Her cold meds didn’t help and quite possibly hurt her.

Her scores:
CR: 740 Math:590 Writing 690

Here is my question. I see she can use score choice. Will colleges see her poor performance on the recent March test? Will they wonder why she only took the SAT once if she chooses not to take it again? Does it look bad if she only took it soph year or do they even look closely at that?

How respectable is her sophomore year score? She is applying to schools like Bowling Green, Toledo, John Carroll, Denison, and Miami of Ohio.
She has a good chance of being a national merit semi-finalist/finalist. She is hoping for significant merit scholarships.

She scored a 31 on the ACT and plans on retaking that in June after preparing.
How does a 31 ACT score compare to her SAT score?

I am sorry for all of the questions. We did not expect these low SAT scores at all. Luckily,
she did not choose to send any free score reports. She is devastated by her low scores.
