Sending SAT scores

Do we have to send SAT scores by CB or do guidance counselers usually send them?

If ur SAT scores is contained in the counselor packet (officially recognized by the school that they are indeed your scores) then it will count. If your school does not automatically receive your SAT scores, then you will have to request Collegeboard to send them.

Hope that helps =)

Most high schools have your standardized test scores on your high school transcript, which counselors send to your schools. You can check by going to your school’s guidance office and asking for an unofficial transcript. Or you could just ask them, same thing.

As the Hopkins application states…

“Only scores reported by the testing service or on an official high school transcript are acceptable.”

Hopkins will only accept scores directly from the College Board or ACT Board, or if they are included on an official transcript. If you guidance counselor writes them on your transcript, includes them in a letter of recommendation, or copies you test reports – those scores will not be considered officially.

Unless you know for sure all your schools are included on your transcript officially, it is best to have the testing agencies forward your scores to Hopkins.
