I have a question regarding sending SAT scores. If I requested my test scores to be sent prior to October 14th in order to meet a November 1st deadline, would the October 14th test scores be included. Would the scores even meet the deadline? Would the ED college understand if it doesn’t meet the deadline?

Most colleges will recognize the test taken on Oct 14th for the ED admissions process.

If you did not update the score recepients for the Oct 14 SAT (or you didn’t specify a school when you registered for the Oct 14 SAT), your Oct 14 scores will not be sent to colleges. You need to make sure you have updated the score recepients for the October 14 SAT (go to my organizer and click ‘update score recepients’ for the Oct SAT, but I don’t know if it’s still there).

Colleges will get your Oct score report about mid- to end-November, and no, they will not care if it doesn’t meet the deadline. The SAT score report is just for their confirmation before they chooses to admit you; think of it as a double-check of your honesty. Princeton even accepts November test scores for ED! (November test scores probably arrive to Pton one week or so before decisions are announced).

Also, be sure to indicate on your app under your scores that you have taken the Oct SAT so the colleges will know to expect a score from you for Oct (just move the slider to Oct 06 but leave the scores blank).

I don’t understand…Can I send my score report from the Oct. 14 test to schools I’m applying to on regular decision much later, say in November?

Yes, you can.
