Sending Scores

I’ve spent around two hours today searching for answers, but I can’t seem to put it all together. Hopefully you knowledgeable posters can help me out.

I’ll lay out my predicament for you guys first. My number one school is Georgetown, and I want to apply EA. However, I want to take the SAT I and the SAT II over again.

In May, I took the SAT I. I got a 2060 (690 M, 650 CR, 690 W), and after getting my Q&A service in the mail and reviewing my careless errors, I know I can raise my score to a 2150+. I am also confident that I can show collegeboard that I can handle critical reading! I definitely will raise it to 700+; I can’t believe the errors I made :(

In June I took the SAT II. I got a 770 in Chem (satisfied), 720 in Math (somewhat satisfied) and a 650 in Spanish (not satisfied). I went into the Spanish exam not knowing the format and was utterly shocked at the difficulty level. I became overwhelmed and I let myself get too nervous. In short, I want to retake it, confident enough to raise my score over the 700 barrier. In retaking the Spanish, I also want to take another shot at the Math.

Georgetown stresses the importance of three subject tests to show mastery. I know my grades will show my mastery in these subjects, but I am unhappy that my scores don’t match my scholastic performance thus far. When I went to the information session, the director gave me the impression that SAT subject tests are important factors - and I don’t want anything to diminish my chances. I don’t have major hooks, just minor, so I am depending on great scores.

Early action requires all records to be postmarked by November 30th. I am planning to take the SAT I in October, and the SAT II in November. Scores for November testing are available by the 20th. How long does it take for collegeboard to send scores, and Georgetown to receive them? Will they even accept theses scores? Should I just wait to apply in January?

I’m not being lazy in asking, I’ve hunted for the answers on the admissions site. I am hoping that someone on this site will have advice or possible solutions/answers to my situation. Sorry this was stretched out, just trying to be specific :)

Thanks!

By the way, I’ve already tried the ACT. I took it in June and got these scores:

34 M
34 E
34 R
23 S (I have no clue what happened…??)
