Sending transcripts.

I plan on applying to my first choice school(private) early so that I am eligible for the Catholic Student scholarship(there are only a few). My grades were not the best my junior year due to a medical issue and I did explain that in my personal statement/essay and how I plan to make straight A’s this year. The school has rolling admissions and I want them to see my Fall semester of senior year grades so they can see that I really am trying. Do you think it would be bad to hold off until then to send in my transcripts? Should I write them a note explaining why I am waiting until then to send in my transcripts, what should I do. I am also currently making up a class and I should be done by the first week of November. Should I just wait until THEN to apply/send in my application? My GPA is a B- which is relatively low but I have a pretty impressive e/c list, personal statement, and I also write for an online magazine. Another thing, I am from out of state, do you think I am at an advantage or disadvantage when applying to an out of state private school?

Also, what NY colleges/universities do you think I have a chance at getting admitted to in NY as a B- student.

Most schools won’t review the file until ALL items are received. If you don’t send the transcript now, then your file won’t be looked at and it negates getting the other parts in early. I would wait until November.

The mid-Atlantic region is usually lumped as a group and all states are well represented. I would not expect OOS NY to be treatred any dif than IS for PA, NJ schools.

If you are considering Drexel, you may want to also look into LaSalle.

Without SAT/ACT scores it is impossible to chance.
