How does one recover from burnout as a second semester senior to be fresh for college?

I you’re in your last semester of high school, it’s okay to relax a little because your grades won’t matter in college admissions. Just relax all summer and I’m sure you’ll be fresh for college.
Relax. Make sure that you don’t let your A’s become C’s, and most of all turn in your work, do not celebrate inappropriately (do not pull stupid stunts or get arrested or get drunk…) But as long as you don’t get D’s and F’s, yu’re fine, so… enjoy!
Continue to work hard so you can score well on your AP exams and get college credit from taking them. College credit from taking AP exams can be immensely helpful and not something to taken lightly. However, once AP exams are over, relax! You’ve earned it!
^ Depending on what colleges OP is aiming for/got admitted to, they may not offer any credit for AP classes, which are presumed to be the “default” preparation for the college. Public flagships tend to be much more generous. In some cases, such as premeds, students are encouraged to NOT take the AP exam and NOT claim the credits in calc, phys, chem, and bio in order to shore up their GPAs.( You do NOT want to be in AP5Bio at UChicago for instance).
Thank you guys.
I’m working hard at school, trust me.
I just feel so exhausted from 7 semesters of 4-6 hrs of sleep from the combo of high GPA, lots of APs, competitions, and everything. All that running around has certainly worn me out, as I’m sure others are. I’m worried that I won’t have anymore energy in August when college starts and things will get harder I’m sure.
(I would rather not discuss my college choices on this thread).
I guess I don’t know how to “relax” without feeling guilty that I could be reviewing a chapter, practicing for orchestra, or organizing for a fundraiser or doing something else. But now I’m just beaten up and I don’t know how to explain. I am interested in school, have friends, and I’m normal but I just feel exhausted beyond belief.
^It’s totally understandable. Keeping on working hard, but don’t overstress yourself. It’s your last year as a high schooler, so enjoy it!
Stop working hard. The hardest part is to find the limit - you have to work just enough to get B’s or C’s. So, don’t stop working but stop working hard.
Please for the love of everything that’s holy sleep 8-9hours a night. What you do to your body and your mind, as a teenager who lacks sleep, is terrifying. So, please, first of all, focus on sleeping enough (until you’re 20, you need about 9 hours, but if you miss 2 hours one night, you can catch up by sleeping two extra hours another day. When you get under 7 hours, you torture your body and brain development.) Focus on that to start with.
Thank you for your suggestion. Sleeping for 8-9 hours each night has been really helpful.
It’s hard to find that balance, however, but I’m working on it
