My son is a HS senior accepted at 3 state schools (2 medium stringent, one less stringent). For various reasons, his grades have slipped a bit. His GPA weighted is about 3.9 and unweighted about 3.6 or so currently. He scored a 28 composite ACT and has good community service. Top 20% of class. He is taking
English IV= mid A
Analysis of Functions=low D (considered an honors course)
Spanish III=low C (considered an honors course)
Honors Physics=high C
Econ/AP Govt=mid B
2 non academic type classes=As

The marking pd will not be over till Jan so these grades could change. He has not heard from his reach state school yet, they decide in February.

My questions are:
- should he/we be worried that one of that the schools that accepted him will reject him?
- should he submit end of semester grades to the school that will decide in Feb so that they have realistic data?

It would be terrible if he selected a school and then let the others know he was not going there and then he found out that his selected school has rejected him.

Thanks for any input.
