Would LMU recind my acceptance if i do decide to attend because of 1 D second semester sr yr? (In an AP course btw) oh and I am in 5.

thanks

you should work hard and try to get at least a C, I not sure if they would recind it, I dont thing so.

thanks for the quick response anyone else know?

also do you think it is more likely for a school like LMU of a large state school like UW (university of washington) to recind someone? I hope niether for one D with a very tough schedule however :/

bump 10 char

well i cant really speak for LMU admissions but i doubt they would rescind admissions if your schedule is really as rigorous as you say it is. that be said, be safe get a C- its a lot less shocking than a D. I don’t thing U Wash( in Seattle right?) would rescind either. If you can push through these final weeks of high school and get at lease a C you will not have to stress, but i doubt they would rescind her admission over a D in an AP class(does that actually mean you got a C anyway since u get an extra point for AP classes) Again try to get your D to a C talk to your teacher just to avoid worrying.

Sorry I’m the only limited-informed person who is answering your question :/

ya, i am talking about U Wash in Seattle. Thanks for the reply. Ya the AP course is really tough this semester it has nothing to do with senoritis. Is the D really a C bc its an AP class, i did not know that?

anyone… thanks a lot

In terms of GPA, yes a D really counts as a C, a C counts as a B, and so on…however, it still shows up as a D on your transcript. You NEED to get a C-, you’re almost finished now don’t let one grade leave you with any doubt about whether or not your admission is going to be rescinded. Truthfully, I don’t think the one grade will matter but why leave it to chance?

thanks. ya of course i am working really hard in this particular class to pull it up to a C-. Its just that people on CC scare me a bit saying that 1 D is crazy bad even if it is in an AP class. I just truly believe that the colleges that i got into and deciding between (UW and LMU) will not recind me bc of 1 D with a hard, hard schedule. I will keep working hard like i have been however.

Thejokester,

It depends on the school. For example, in my AP classes, an A counts as a 5.0, a B counts as a 4.0, a C counts as a 3.0, a D counts as a 1.0, and an F counts as a 0.0.

So in other words, at my school an A is an above-A, a B is an A, a C is a B, and a D is a D.
