So I am a senior. I am going to ED Columbia, EA U Chicago and U Michigan. My GPA for Sophomore and Junior are both 4.0 unweighted. However, my senior interim grade was really bad. I took Canadian Literature(English elective)-B,which is the one that killed me; AP Computer Science-A, Multivariable Calculus-A+, AP Economics A, AP United States History-A-. So is this grade going to hurt me? because it is not even 3.9, but somewhere between 3.9 and 3.8. will that make me look bad or put me in a really bad situation? Does senior interim grade matter a lot for early schools?

I am no expert but I was at an info session where they said that if you have all A’s for 3 years and all of a sudden get a B senior year on mid-year grade report, it looks worse then if you had a B here or there all along. If the rest of your application is strong I don’t see where this will kill you but if you are on the bubble it may be a problem.

So you are saying that this B will have a big impact on me but not that crucial if I have strong essays and stuff?
