A normal course load at my HS is 6 classes senior year. Would it make more sense to: (a) take 6 classes including ap bio though I have no plans to go into medicine or (b) take 7 classes (never been done before) and replace ap bio with ap psych and ap stats? I’d prefer the latter but one of my teachers said to take a science. I’ve already taken AP chem and AP physics, though. As a side note, the rest of my schedule is all AP or post-AP math. Or does it just not matter because my classes are already hard? Just wondering. Thank you!

Biology can apply to many more fields than just medicine.

Biol is considered a more strenuous AP than either Psych or Stats, but since you’ve already taken 2 science APs and it sounds like your sr schedule is very challenging, I don’t think it would matter much either way. The one possible consideration is whether your HS GC will mark ‘most demanding’ for both schedules.

Does the “most demanding” count for every year, or just senior year? I was the first one ever to take calc ab as a sophomore and the first to take 3 aps junior year, so i feel like i should have that box checked either way. thank you for your reply!

Your GC makes the rigor designation for your HS record as a whole. I agree that it is likely that you will be most demanding with either schedule.
