Today I was elected to be Student Body President at my school, which comes with a year long “Student Leadership” period that is an academic credit. Because my school does blocked scheduling, this would be 2 of my 8 credits.
I know a lot of other things go into college admissions, but if I take these classes next year, will it negatively impact my admissions chances for higher-tier schools like Tufts or Brown, which are my reaches?
I will be taking 4 other AP classes over the course of the year, as well as a fourth semester of a foreign language and a mandatory civics class.
