Taking both of the classes makes the most sense if the goal is to create the best college application.
Work study research can be important to help your daughter decide whether or not she enjoys that type of work and help her formulate experienced thoughts regarding selection of a major.
In short, all three are valuable experiences so it depends upon whether your daughter prefers to create a more competitive college application due to increased rigor or whether she wants some real world type work experience in order to refine her career goals.
Sheāll excel at Miami. My son who didnāt take AP Spanish was accepted into Miamiās Honor College and Farmer for business, your daughter should have no problem at all.
Perfect she said Miami U did not require it - from what I have Heard Farmer school of Business is the most competitive program to get into at Miami U so Congrats to your Son. You will have to let me know how he likes it if he chooses to go there!
Thanks all we had our Discussion Tonight, She has decided to take French and A&P instead of the work study. I did double check that she had considered Humanities & Arts options etc. She did ponder taking AP Bio instead of A&P but she says that her Athletic Training she is currently taking has made her interested in knowing Anatomy better. She is lucky enough to have an open ended offer to work at the lab on any terms that work with her schedule so that definitely made the decision easier.
My experience is: if looking at a liberal arts major, take the 4th year of a foreign language. If looking at STEM, take the AP science class. If looking at T20, probably the 4th year of the language.
My daughter only has 2 years of Spanish, and as an incoming engineering major, it hasnāt hindered her at all. However, she did not go for any T20 schools.
