Senior year: college algebra or ap statistics?

I want too know what class would look better on college transcripts. AP Stats or College Algebra? I want too go to Loyola mount university in California, I currently live in St. Petersburg, FL. I took ap calc ab junior year, and our school doesn’t offer ap calc bc. So I have too choose between AP stats or College algebra. I have heard though that the AP Stats teacher is really bad! Both his classes are failing, and almost every student said too not take it, cause he sucks at teaching! So would college algebra be a better choice? And will it look good on college transcripts? I want too major in BUSiness!

My understanding is that college algebra is remedial. It is a step backward from AP Calc AB. The logical step is college calculus I. AP Stats would be fine too. It is important in business. Perhaps you can supplement your class and text book with online aids, such as Khan academy videos.

Yes, college algebra is a step back from pre-calc. My math track went Hon Algebra 2, college algebra/trig, calc. So I would definitely take the stats course. On a personal note, AP stats was the most fun I’ve had in a math class ever

“College” algebra is usually a remedial (in a college context) course covering high school algebra 2.

Can you take calculus 2 at a local college?

College algebra is a bad move.

Is there a community college where you can dual enroll and take either college calculus 1 (if you got a B in Calc AB or want to get used to college pace) or College calculus 2 (if you got an A and found the pace in Calc AB slow)? Ask your guidance counselor.
