Senior Year Courseload

I am currently in AP Lit, APES, AP Calc BC (block class), Spanish 4 (no AP offered), and government (no AP; required for graduation). My school does not offer many APs and the two offered to me are AP Physics and AP Chemistry. I am not interested in a STEM major in college. I have a period left open. Is it acceptable to peer mentor instead of taking the two APs offered to me that I am not interested in. Is this rigorous enough for top schools?

I think they will understand that you are taking the hardest classes offered that you are interested in. Plus peer mentoring is a good EC.

Have you already taken biology, chemistry, and physics?

I took AP bio last year. I’m very afraid of ap chem because when I took chem sophomore year I had 3 different teachers and never received the strong foundation I need for the class. Physics is a possibility but I also have the teacher for block bc and she is notoriously very tough.
