senior year grades for selective schools..?

Hey, so I’m applying to a bunch of Ivy League schools, Amherst, Stanford, Georgetown, UC’s and such, and until this year I’ve had all A’s in all advanced classes (I’ve already taken 6 AP’s). I have a 4.0 and a 4.86 weighted GPA. But this semester with college apps and everything, I got a C in a multivariable calculus class (at a local community college…it was hard and i think it looks like i was challenging myself but still…), and I’m going to get a B in Chinese 4 AP and English Lit AP.

Basically, I know it wouldnt matter that much if I had those couple grades sprinkled around throughout high school, but I’m worried that maybe such selective schools will see those grades and think I’m falling apart or something? I’m not…I’ve just had a tough semester, but how do you guys think a couple weaker-than-usual grades will affect my chances?

you don’t have to report the multivariable calc. as for the Bs, they’ll probably hurt your chances, but you’re a lock for at least UCSD if you have a decent ECs and SAT SAT IIs

all the ivies are, regardless of your grades, reaches. Georgetown is pretty selective as well so… yeah. i wouldn’t swear it too much. ucsd and ucla are still good matches atm

sweat* it doesn’t let me edit
