this is my first time posting on this forum. anyway, college apps are coming up, and i just have a couple questions for you. i go to a really good his school, and my freshman sophomore and junior year i had a 3.2 gpa. this year however, almost every class im taking is honors or ap, and i have a 4.0 so far. will this help for college? could i get into a duke or vanderbilt? thanks so much.
Without posting your SAT/ACT scores, it’s hard to tell, but with a 3.2, I’d say Duke and Vandy, sadly, are out of the question.
This year just started and you are having 4.0 GPA so far? Anyway, if you do get a much higher GPA in senior first semester, it will help a little bit but mostly for RD as the grades are likely not out and shown on transcript by EA/ED deadline. Anyway, your final uwGPA will still be only 3.3-3.35. It is likely too low for any top schools like Duke or Vandy assuming if you have great test scores.
