<p>Is a D in the first semester a killer for senior grades…its in regular language arts. Im so dumb for slacking omg… im sooo screwed.</p>

<p>You better e-mail them right this instant, explaining why you earned that D, and the fact that you will redeem yourself by dominating spring semester.</p>
<p>I’d say write a letter. Sorry to say, though, it’s not looking good. The first three schools on your list (maybe even NYU) have so many qualified applicants that they’re just looking for reasons to turn people away. It doesn’t look good.</p>
