Senioritis: UCSD Strict on SENIOR year GPA ?

Lets say 1st semester I was doing well because my sport season didn’t start, didn’t have to worry about prom, or any sort of testing… now 2nd semester rolls by V_____V …GRRRR… =[

1st semester 3.6 gpa
2nd semester… 2.4 gpa (so sad…=[…)
…couple of C’s and possible D in Physics and/or Caluclus ?

If I call/notify them, will they let me slide or revoke me?

Can any1 that knows any1 that experience this? What was the result? Do they really revoke your admission after they are already finish the application process because they are really over 50,000 applications that they gotta check back to vertify… also is it just there to scare you? I heard that they don’t really care about it now that u are already accepted and it is too much work to go over the admission review the 2nd time around…they might as well let you go through?

dang I am infected with senioritis…so much work to do like prom planning, CIF playoffs, AP testing, etc…

HELP ME 1111111111111111111111!!! any1 with any insights/experience about this issue ?

isn’t it 3.0 weighted that u need to get?

i think they said no Ds or Fails also…definately call them

you are not allowed to get ANY Ds or Fs in a-g classes

and your weighted gpa should be 3.0 or higher…

If you meet those two requirements, you are cool :)

That D can rescind your acceptance even if you call them. Make sure you bring that grade up.

fawkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

If you know you are getting a bad grade, can you just drop the class, or will that get you rescinded???

anybody notify the UCSD ppl in writing about their D and still got in ?

Coronado18sd, whatever you put in your application in terms of class schedule is what they expect when you send in your final transcript. If there are any discrepencies, they may rescind you as well. Call or email them before doing anything of the sort.

hey, you might get more qualified responses if you try this site:
http://sduncensored.com/</a>
Its an unofficial UCSD students forum, so current students would be able to tell you their past situations, and if they were able to stil go to 'SD in the fall despite their sub-3.0 gpa or D in a class.

WHOOO POST # 100!!.

I want to know the same thing too. I will probably get a D in computer science and that really sucks. I hope I don’t get rescinded :(

I’m in the process of pulling up my D in math up to a C. I asked around on the LJ community site, and there were pretty mixed answers…a lot of people said that it should be okay if the class isn’t a-g or you already met the requirements for that subject, etc. etc. So…work your ass off and make sure to call them before the year ends.

mrxalleycat how about you stop asking unqualified people on cc and actually call them yourself
