Hi everyone,
My son got into Stanford. I am hearing that lots of 12th graders get senioritis, especially the admitted students. My son might be one of them. Are there any chances Stanford can reject him after seeing his spring GPA? It is not like he is failing but he won’t have straight As at the end of the year and I am concerned that the school like Stanford may have a problem with it.

Congrats! Do not worry. As long as your son does not commit a felony, cheats, or get outrageously low grades (which I doubt)…he will be fine. The reason behind getting accepted REA is to get to ENJOY the better half of senior year.

After my nephew was accepted to Columbia early action he received a ‘C’. He had to write a letter explaining exactly why. Now that all the applications and grades are in, I’m holding that over my son’s head - he would hate to have to write that letter!

Yes, stay away from getting Cs and he should be fine. With C’s he might have some explaining to do.
