ya… i got into Northwestern…
now i have senioritis.
i just want to graduate, enjoy my summer, and go to Northwestern.
I’m such a loooooooooser

Oh man, don’t even get me started… I’m in the same boat with you! The people in my high school are so DUMB that it hurts to watch sometimes. I can’t wait to go to Northwestern where people are classy and care about getting somewhere in life. I don’t go back till Thursday, but I feel tired just thinking about sitting there all day long. And of coarse, we can’t move in until the 14th of September! Ugh, 9 more months!

Haha, well just keep in mind that there are going to be stupid people wherever you go. Otherwise, you’ll be in for a rude awakening…

All of my fellow students are motivated and pretty dedicated to school, and I’m STILL in the thick of some intense senioritis. I don’t want to go to school at ALL. And homework? HAH.

I’m that kid who freaks out over her grade dipping into “B” territory, and yet I’m pretty sure if I don’t buck up and deal with it I’m just going to end up slacking off all semester. Boo, I just wanna get to NU!

I am waiting until finals for first semester which are the week after next (I know our school does it late), then I will be slacking off and hopefully getting into NU!

Ew that’s terrible; at my school, if you meet or exceed standards on all 4 areas of the PSAE Examinations(the ACT we take in school + the PSAE part of the testing which is a joke) then we are exempt from all finals. So I don’t have to take finals at all this year.
And I wanted to take the train up to NU over break but it’s freezing out here so I think my friends and I will have to go when it’s warmer and we all have senioritis really bad so we can scope out our new homes. Because seriously, NU is the only thing keeping me motivated right now about second semester (ok and maybe prom too).

I am not looking forward to prom at all. Dances aren’t my thing.

I feel that… Can’t wait till post-AP time cause all my classes are AP. Bothers me so much how we have to continue. 3.5 years of doing well in hs… We should get a brrrreak.

2nd semester senior year killlllllssss!

yea the real second semester senior year that everyone raves about doesn’t really come til may when ap’s are over.

I have a mix of senioritis and motivation…
I set a goal to make top 10 at my school freshman year and I’m #9. Part of me doesn’t care because it won’t matter after graduation and another part of me is paranoid and being ocd because i have a freaking 88 in AP Lit, which may or may not bump me out. Eek being competitive…
But I can’t wait until AP exams are over!

I’m in all APs as well but I am thinking about only taking one or two of the tests.

anyone else afraid of getting their admissions taken back haha…?

@freightrain

I’m SOOOOOO afraid of getting rescind!!!

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/22/education/edlife/rescind22.html?pagewanted=print

It says a student who got into NU “raised a red flag” when she dropped one AP class. How strict are they really? Anyone ever heard of someone gettin ED taken back from NU?

Uh oh.

I’ve got straight A’s this semester, except for Calculus BC. Unfortunately, that was my first C. Ever. A mere 78.6% too.

Balls. A rescind letter would kill me.

I honestly don’t think one C will do anything.

I’m getting AABBB in my 5 APs… BC is ridic had-- I’ve never had to try for math in my life and I’m now ACTUALLY sitting at home and doing MATH hw and gasp studying. I feel you stanman.

glad i’m not alone!
that article was kinda scary… like would a B really cost us our admission?
ironically my only B is in my only non-AP class. because it’s terrible. as;lfkjas;ldfkaj! and finals aren’t even here yet
AHHH.

there’s no way they can do that. i mean, i withdrew all my other apps. I would be stuck going to CC… ***!!

Haha, a B is completely harmless and will almost certainly not get you rescinded. One C probably wouldn’t either, but once you start dipping into that range, I’d start taking things a bit more seriously.

Speaking of first semester grades… do we have our councilors send them the mid year report?
