Sent FAFSA on January 9th - showing as missing

I sent the FAFSA to Tulane on January 9th. Gibson shows it as missing.

I emailed the financial aid office, but was wondering is Tulane slow to upload?

What does this mean that you sent the FAFSA? If your child is a US citizen/permanent resident, the FAFSA is done online. If you as the parent is not a citizen or permanent resident, you cannot get a FSA ID. This means that you would print a copy of the signature page, and mail it to the federal processor.

Did you receive a copy of your SAR via email? Is Tulane listed?

If the correct school code is listed on the FAFSA, the school should have it by now. The student should call or email the financial aid office to ask if they have it. Sometimes, students select the wrong school code (at my former school, they would select the law or med school campus, which had different school codes than the main campus). Sometimes, student information on the application does not match the information on the FAFSA, and the application is technically never received at the school (because the computer doesn’t recognize it).

S spoke with school today. The school had received it back in January, they just had not checked it off as being received in Gibson. Thank you.
