I’m on central time so I sent my cornell application in around 40 minutes after 12:00. Is this an automatic rejection? Should I contact the admissions office and say anything about the different time zone? I’m so nervous cornell is my first choice and I would hate it if this was the reason I didn’t get in. Has anyone here sent an application late and still gotten into a school?

best of luck, gossip girl, may you end up in Cornell …

First of all, why did you wait till the last moment to file your application to your first choice college? Don’t you think it was a huge negligence?

To answer your question, NO, it doesn’t mean an automatic rejection.

Is this Cornell College or University?

my guess: Cornell University Transfer Admissions…

40 minutes probably won’t get you an automatic rejection, although it surely won’t help you. I’d say it’ll hurt a bit, but won’t guarantee a rejection.
