Sent some bad scores to a school.

I live in Chicago and the state of Illinois forces all kids to take the ACT. My mom also wanted me to take the SAT I for some reason, so I did. I studied pretty hard for the April ACT and got a 30, which I’m pretty happy with. I didn’t study at all for the May SAT and wasn’t even familiar with the format. Needless to say, I did pretty poorly (1800). What’s worse is that I didn’t get around to canceling it, and it got sent to a school I plan on applying to (Ulllinois for Engineering). I also sent a previous ACT score from December, which was a 27. I really shouldn’t have sent any of my early scores to schools.

I know people say that colleges look at your best score, but it’s foolish to believe that they’ll glance over the other scores completely. I just know that they’re gonna see it and wonder what happened.

Okay? I can’t tell if you’re asking a question or something.

You’re right…there is no question in there lol. What I meant to ask was will the fact that I sent in some previous poor scores negatively affect my one decent score?

Well, a 30 sort of equates to a 1800, doesn’t it?

Supposedly they only look at your best scores. I mean, that’s what they CLAIM. There’s also the arguments in the SAT vs ACT thread saying that they CLAIM they view the SAT and ACT equally, but no one knows if that’s completely true.

If you’re that worried about it, then retake the SAT.

Well matok, if there is some bias, hopefully it will help me since Illinois is a big ACT state.

I could Ray, but I’m really worn out over tests. I don’t even want to look at another scantron sheet.
