Sentiments for graduation.

D#2’s sig other " graduated" last Saturday from their college.( she took a year off so she has another year) I put quotes around it, because he didn’t walk, his parents gave him $$$$ for graduation & encouraged him to spend it on a trip with D so that is where they are now, since it is her spring break.
( which is as big of a trip as anything H & I have ever been on in 32 years of marriage including our honeymoon-envious);)

He is an amazing, kind, intelligent, responsible young man and as my husband puts it (& I have *never heard H describe anyone else before in this way), he has an * aura about him.

I was having trouble finding graduation cards since it isn’t June & I want to write something in it that conveys how fond we are of him, but wont embarrass either one of them.
Any good quotes?
( he is a micro-bio major & I found a magnet with a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson " All of life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better")
I wanted to encourage him to take risks and not worry about making mistakes.

I also would welcome ideas for gifts as older Ds sig other ( who we don’t know as well as they live in another state) is also graduating with his masters in environmental engineering this spring and I want to give him something that reflects our feelings about him ( they have been living together for several years & we totally love him) and is useful for his work or is otherwise something he would keep.

This makes me think that I should acknowledge my daughter’s boyfriend’s graduation. He is graduating with his MBA from Dartmouth and will be earning in his entry level job , far more than my husband and I , so a Cross pen seems silly.

Daughter is graduating with her undergrad degree also and they are moving in together soon after both.

I want to give something to keep, mainly because I suspect he is a romantic and would appreciate a token signifying his place with our family and of his accomplishment.

I don’t think you have to spend a lot, don’t they say it is the thought that counts?
I think a keepsake pen is perfect for an MBA
