Separate Interview Thread

One of my Mock Trial coaches knows the Harvard Alumni Interviewer for my area well. He’s a judge; she’s an attorney. She offered to call up the Interviewer before my interview to put in a good word about me. At first, I was excited but now I wonder… Is this going to violate any etiquette rules?

It doesn’t violate any rules, but I know that I am an interviewer who personally would not welcome such calls. That’s why I agree to interview only students whom I have no previous knowledge about.

If the coach is so supportive, I think the best thing she could do would be to write an extra recommendation letter. It may be late to do this for Harvard EA, but you probably could use the letter for the other schools you’re applying to.

You also could ask the Mock Trial coach for tips on how you could ace the Harvard interview.

i’m glad my interview wasn’t with nsm, no offense, but my girl was maaaaad chill
