separated parents CSS issues

my parents are separated; i live with my dad, but my mom is very financially involved in my life because she makes more money.

I understand that there is a separate form for the noncustodial parent, but how should i approach the regular CSS? Should i pretend that I have one parent (my dad), and fill in the same amounts for “PARENTS” and “PARENT 1,” leaving slots under “PARENT 2” blank? If so, here’s my second dilemma: my parents filed their income taxes together last year. i have no idea how to separate my dad’s numbers from my mom’s numbers in order to fill in ONLY my dad’s numbers under “PARENTS.”

any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

If they’re separated and not divorced, is there a legal custody agreement in place? My understanding is that if they’re still filing jointly and aren’t yet divorced, there is no non-custodial parent. However, I am not certain. That’s an information point to add, though.
