September 2010 ACT Science Discussion

ANOTHER QUESTION i forgot about ok does anyone remember the question about “which trial was blah blah blah water vapor?” i think i put trial 4, the one for which the temp was 373 kelvins or something…anyway anyone remember that oneee?!

^^^^^^^^^^^^ There’s a debate on that one on the first few pages.

^ I put trial 6. Those trials were done where RH (relative humidity) was high.

DANG FLABBIT! Ugh. Another question wrong. -__-

They need to make the science section a good 5-7 questions shorter. This is shullbit.

if anyone happens to remember cud u repost that question and w.e data was used for it where everyone seems to be at a consensus on 100%? I forgot what the question was exactly, but vaguely remember the question.

Question: relates RH and something or other?

^ It said which experiment was done with a saturated amount of water vapor in the air.

omggg this thread is making me feel worse about science… depending on the curve the science could actually KILL my composite. h8 lyf.

^pie, i think it had to do with evaporation

^ It wasn’t evap. None of the temperatures tested were at 373K or above, I quadruple checked. It has to do with RH

Can’t isn’t he right awnser. The awnser was let water in and freely. This is an essential part to the decomositoin of the crap inside the bag… In a mesh bag mass could easily escape. Were talking about decomomposing here

I think you guys are confusing 373 K with 313 K.

there was DEF a question with water vapor and like which trial…i just looked through all the threads and it has NOT been talked about. i put trial 4 which was three hundred something kelvins and had the highest temp…anyone remember what you gottt?!

it was indeed trial 6. That question did not have a “NOT” in it.
"

and yeah airfreshener that sounds righttt! i put that one for the water vapor one…

Water would NOT evaporate significantly at 40 C. It definitely had to do with RH…

no i got evaporation and condensation confused, all i know is that it involved water.

edit: jde is correct

■■■ o nthis science section i got like anywhere between 1 and 4 wrong and because of the curve, the score difference between -1 and -4 is HUGEEE so idk what science will do to my composite =/ (i def got 34+ on everything else)
anyone else freakin outttt?!

I’m freaking out like a madman massgirl. I absolutely need to have gotten a perfect on this section

Did anyone else think the Science section was ridiculously hard?

^I thought it was hard. Not RIDICULOUSLY HARD
