September 2010 ACT Science Discussion

No, i don’t think it was hard, just a really confusing mesh bag question

What letter choice was Trial 6?

If I had filled out two answers on one question, but the wrong answer was HALF filled and kinda light, will the machine see the right answer?

I believe H or C, whichever order it was in.

what was the one where you pick the line graph that matched some data??

@never give up, the HCL concentration one? I think it was the almost linear upward one

The one passage with to uT or something like that was so confusing. Oh, and for the mesh one i was like,“***,” but then i found it in the passage and made my best educational guess.

the question i’m talking about was on the punnet square experiment, i feel like one of the questions asked what the % chance the off spring of 2 partners had the disease was? whatd u get for that one?

^it’s 100

tenchar

massgirl do u remember the alleles of the parents for that question?

@pie tt and tt

yep, they were both tt…i explained this question earlier in the thread if you wanna look.

ah i see ur post earlier, but did the question ask which would display the disease or which would have T, i feel like it said the latter because i initially bubbled 100% quickly but analyzed it a little further and changed it to 0% because no T’s would come from a tt-tt combination. Do u distinctly remember it saying which one wud display the disease?

^ IT WAS BASED ON STUDENT 2’S DATA. HIS DATA SAID tt=DOMINANT

I don’t remember putting tt-tt I put like Tt-tt

I did put 100% thought

Student 2 said that dominant MUST be tt.

EDIT: You got lucky with that one :P

@pie231

I did the same exact thing. For some reason I thought it was 0%!!!

Hmm… after seeing the general discussion here i’d say i have a 50/50 chance at the 36, mesh bags being the thing that makes it iffy

is there a math thread up yet because I can’t find it…
