ACT says that the writing scores come out about 2 weeks after you get your other scores. So the kids who got their scores the first day may have their writing scores on Friday.
I am wondering if they score the composite first and then send those tests off to have the writing scored. Otherwise why would they say the writing scores normally come out 2 weeks later? I would have thought they could be doing both at once.
What about the people who didn’t even receive a quality assurance message? I can’t even view my ticket and the status has not even changed from registered. I thought this was because I’m an international student so i should expect this delay, but apparently almost everyone in my country got their composite and are waiting for their writing.
I can’t wait until Friday, i dont even care about my writing score, just release the comp already!
Colleges sometimes get them before the students. That is the way it works with the AP scores. Check your account at that college your scores may be listed.
The ACT is being very vague about the writing scores. On twitter the question was asked:
“Are any writing scores going to be released this week?”
They could have said yes or no. Instead they gave the generic response:
“Good morning! Writing scores are normally added about 2 weeks after your multiple-choice scores.”
Given that I have to wonder if any writing scores will be release this week…
I need to send the recent scores to a college. Will the ACT actually send them before the writing is scored, or do they wait until the full report is ready?
Does anyone not like the new Writing scoring? I got a 29 Composite, but a 10 subscore for each of the four domains. That means each grader gave me a 5 out of 6 for each domain, which is exactly what I got on the SAT (10 on writing). However, the composite somehow brings it down to 29?? Which to me makes it look pretty bad even though my writing is the same as compared to the SAT.
I got a 31 Writing score. Is it low? I’m in the 98th percentile. But 31 seems low compared to my composite score (35). Do admission officers care a lot about writing scores? I’m an international student so I’m not good at writing an essay (in my second language) under time pressure.
I have a low composite but a high writing score. 29 C and 36 Writing. I am taking the ACT one more time to boost my composite but do you guys think that colleges will like seeing a 36 writing or will it have a negligible effect on my application.
For those who got their writing scores today, can you tell us when you got your multiple choice score? Was it the first Friday, the next Wed or last Fri? Thanks!
