This is getting absurd! Some have MC and writing and kids that need to make Senior year ED decisions still don’t have multiple choice! Seriously?
I called today and insisted on speaking with a supervisor because the reason behind quality assurance could not be explained.
The administering school had no knowledge and their system was fine I.e. Nothing to give them concern
ACT said they pick students randomly and cross check their answers manually to make sure their scantron system is working properly!? Does this seem plausible
When I said no one in the school has scores she said that is random
She also said they are a non-profit so they don’t have resources to make sure tests get checked more quickly
Mind you this was all after waiting over 15 minutes on hold twice.
Still desperately waiting for my composite score on wed, still registered. I doubt it’ll come on wed though…I’m just hoping my sat score comes at least
@coolmom23 - Honestly I wouldn’t believe them about the random thing if no one in the school has gotten their scores. It’s more likely that a student or students reported something that happened. Like a proctor not giving the kids the correct amount of time or someone reporting that they saw someone cheat. If some kids got their scores then yes it could be just a random thing but not if everyone is getting the same quality assurance message.
Also while this is bad the SAT IMO was worse for the June SAT. They actually threw out 2 sections of the test because of their incompetence… So some seniors have had to deal with both the SAT mess up and the ACT slow reporting of scores. Not a good year to be graduating.
Received writing score, subscores are 11,11,11,12, but writing score is 31, anyone know the relation between the writing score and subscores? 31 seems pretty low…?
I’m pretty sure I figured out why everyone at my school has the “quality assurance” message. There were sports teams being loud during the test and I put that I wasn’t satisfied with the test center and others complained. A friend told me that ACT may curve our scores or cancel them. Anyone else had a similar experience or thoughts?
