Well now I feel like an idiot. I’m totally kicking myself over the essay because it never even crossed my mind that the format looked different because they changed it all. I still didn’t know until I read through this thread, lol. Hopefully my writing score won’t get slaughtered because of my ignorance…

does anyone know if canada is considered internaitonal…any chance canadian students will get the mc scores on sept. 25? thanks!
@greenleaf1234 I think there is a reasonable chance that all test takers, national or international, will get MC scores on Sept. 25. It just depends on how quickly the answer documents are delivered from your test center to the ACT headquarters(?).
@CarolineChicago Didn’t you see the three perspectives in the prompt? Anyway, the old writing format differed dramatically from the new one, and reasonably you should be able to tell at a glance. And if your essay resonated with the three perspectives, you’ll be fine.
@idealni1 I heard that scores’ll come out on Sept. 22, 10 days after the test date. So it’ll be in 3 days. I’m not sure if this is accurate, but they basically said that past test dates from 2014 to 2015 all had the MC scores released 10 days after the test day.

@isabelly212 omg I also wrote about The Purge. It was honestly the first thing that popped into my head when I read the prompt even though I’ve never actually seen the movie.

I really hope I won’t have to retake just because of my poor essay score. I feel like I did decent in the MC part but did mediocre on the essay. I managed to write 2+ pages but it wasn’t really organized… I just blanked out when I read the prompt; I couldn’t think of any evidences (The Purge, Rosa Parks, etc) to support my point. It was after the test when I started to think of all these ideas I could have written about.
Did anyone else get to the last page on the essay?

btw what act scores are better than or equivalent to an sat score of 2150?
Why there is no “registered” under my test date?
I am calling it right now that I got the same score that I did last time.
