Too long of a wait
Same here - no scores This sucks
Word man. They said it was random scoring. I live in nj.
I received a 36 (36, 36, 36, 34) on my act composite for September 2016. However, my writing score is a 9 (9,8,9,10). Does having a low writing score offset the 36?
I will be applying to a couple of top colleges (Stanford, Hopkins, Columbia, Cornell, UC Berkeley). Should I retake the act?
Thanks!

Pretty happy considering that I got a 29 on a practice test I took the day before!!
@co2017co yo if scores don’t come up again for this Wednesday, u think it’s a delay?
@purplepuffin any advice for people struggling with the science section?

Your writing score isn’t actually low if you compare it with what most of us have been posting a few pages back. Don’t hesitate to apply to those schools. After all, there aren’t many students with a 36 composite
@macaroonpenguin I don’t think so. Anything above 8 can only help. I have a 36C and an 11 on the essay and I’m not worried one bit.
@Btam4 yes, definitely. i’m going to call them again today. this wait is unacceptable.
@co2017co alright Lmk
Here’s an eBook y’all might find useful!
https://www.albert.io/blog/act-tour/
It provides some useful commentary and info. Of course, the act.org is the definitive source for the basic info, but this repackages it and gives some score targeting and retaking context.
This retaking decision video is great too

I got a 7 writing score. It brought my 29 reading and 30 English scores down to a 25 for ELA. Hahahahahaha. I believe I also got a 7/7/7/7.
The Essay Rubric changed for September. That could be the issue. My son is also in the same boat.
@co2017co hopefully tommorrow they will come out
Essay rubric changed September, 2015 (to 36) and scores were all over the place and it changed back to 12 for September 2016 (to 12) and still scores are inconsistent!!! As I said before may be college should look at the essay (the can get a copy) instead of relying on another person’s opinion. Luckily DS got 31 in essay in with 35C for September 2015 test. Since it was new format he didn’t get to practice, may be that helped
do you know if an ed school that has a 11.1 deadline would accept october act score?
(for example, Johns Hopkins…:))))
@antisocialist You’ll need to check each school’s website for what they allow. Here’s Johns Hopkins, which suggests you will be fine taking October ACT…here’s the link, check out the bottom of the page: https://apply.jhu.edu/apply/exams/
