I have to take the ACT in less than a week, and I fear I will be very disappointed with my results. I have done everything I possibly can do to prepare for the test. I have taken about 5 different practice tests. I’ve read the ACT Prep Guide from cover to cover and taken a few different online courses. I have even gone to the crappy ACT prep websites. There is nothing else I can do to prepare. But over the several weeks and months I have been studying, my score has only raised two points. In fact, I just took another prep test and my English score was lower than the last real ACT I took! I know the content areas and the structure of the test, but my hours and hours of studying have amounted to nothing. What can I do, if anything, to increase my score significantly in the next week? What am I doing so wrong, if anything?
