Seriously need your advises...

here is my situation:

I got accepted to ucb as cs intended major, so I will have to apply for cs major again in the 2nd semester at ucb. I don’t really feel confident to myself because I am going to compete with crazy cs people later,I am not smart at all… And I really don’t want to change my major because I love cs.
I got rejected by ucla just because I miss the 2 major courses. I really want to go to ucla for cs and engineering double major. ucla is a great school…

well here is what I can do:

 1. apply for ucla’s winter admission if they offer, otherwise stay for another year…
 2. go to ucsd for cs major this fall. ucsd is a great school too…
 3. go to ucb…which means I have to choose a 2nd major which I really dislike
 4. stay at community college for another year and apply for engineering major for ucb next year.

so which one do you guys recommend???

UCLA does not offer Winter admission…

But you’re right, that does sound tough to have to wait to re-apply for cs again? I wouldn’t want to go through this again…lol.

That sounds tough…the competition there just seems so unnecessary frankly.

No worse than the competition in life. :p

a friend of mine wants to get into UCSD’s cs deparmtnet soo bad…he didnt even consider berkeley for CS…according to him, sd’s cs department is very, very good.

You know what, I think you’re best bet it UCSD… It’s a wonderful school!

My suggestion to you: UCSD CSE DEPT

i just posted here…

tks for the advises guys, you guys are so nice!

so I might go to UCSD instead of UCB…life is tough!

Berkeley didn’t accept you because of your good looks, if they’re confident you can handle it you should be too. I understand if you’re the super-competitive type or want to have a little room to breath instead of constantly stressing school-work, but don’t sell yourself short.

<<Got in because of her good looks…lol.

Hey, I got into Berkeley, but doesn’t mean that I belong there. Sure, I could “handle” it, but why? What’s the point…besides I love LA. I’m a singer, for goodness sakes…can you tell me that Berkeley is a great place for gigs and things? All my producer friends are here…
