How much will poor service hours hurt chances? I have like 65, and I plan to join a dog kennel to get more, and do more-meaning i’m not doing it just for college though it does play a big part.
Pretend, just pretend, that I have a good GPA, great ACT, URM status, great teach recs, AWSOME essays, and a passion for mathematics that shows through my app.
Sorry, I didn’t want to list my resume so the above is displayed, and again just pretend don’t say that “relative to what” -type of stuff please.
I also have a job, if that is useful in evaluating.
Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read about my situation and replying!

Extracurricular activities may or may not include community service. EC’s should be about what you enjoy, how you unwind, etc. - not about padding a resume.

ok good, I have ec’s like pres of chess team and school rep for visitation and organizing events, pres of MUN which i love to do, and then studying math at a local college.
Thanks, because I always assumed if you didn’t do enough service hours they would reject you- a naive thought.

65 is fine. Volunteer because you like to or like what you are doing, not because you want to rack up hours. There is no minimum cutoff for service hours.
