SETC 1 Minute Singing Expereinces?

Hey guys,
What kinds of experiences have people had at SETCs?
& what do most people sing with their 1 minute? 2 really short cuts or one longer cut?

My S had terrific experiences auditioning at SETC for MT - both as a HS Junior and as a college Freshman - so he did the 90 seconds split between song and monologue. I may be wrong, but I believe the singers only go for two contrasting cuts. Are you going as a HS junior? Or for the professional category. Are you going only for singing? or for MT - song and monologue? There are several SETC threads on this forum. Here are just a few:

I like to see a song cut and a monologue cut. One minute is the max, not the suggested length. If you come in at 45 seconds, not a problem. We are watching 250+ people in ~8 hours, so we love people who are the short side. Keep it simple, under time, and perfect and you will do well.

@VoiceTeacher and @KatMT - Are video auditions accepted at SETC? (My son is in school overseas, but lives in a SETC state.)

@SU88BFA - No videos are accepted. This is a live audition only.

@SU88FA@VoiceTeacher is, of course, 100% correct. All Screenings for SETC are live. All college students and other pre-professionals must screen livein the screening state where they go to school, or for where they are from. No videos are accepted.

There are summer auditions that are application based… NETC, MWTA, Outdoor Drama, StrawHat. The auditions for theatres are in person, but the screening process is paper based.
