HI, i have been debating between drew and SHU for weeks…does anybody have any information about the two?..Also, does anyone know about the diversity at Drew?..i heard that it is not too diverse but is that a major issue or is it not too bad??

I’d go to Drew. Madison (the town it’s in) is awesome… very safe, very nice people, etc. Seton Hall is not in the nicest area. I’m not sure about diversity, Drew seems pretty diverse to me but I don’t really know.

Do some research at collegeboard.com or whatever.

I found quickly that 85% of all Drew undergrads live on campus (beautiful campus too), while at Seton Hall 43% of all undergrads live on campus. Big difference, especially after freshman year.

Drew’s SATs run 50 points higher than Seton Hall’s for the middle 50%.

Lots of demographics about Drew’s Class of 2009, including enrollment of 18% minority and 3% international students:

http://www.depts.drew.edu/claadmis/process/profile.php

Similar but not identical figures for Seton Hall were 23% minority, see

http://www.edref.com/school_list/seton-hall-university

Drew had 1561 undergrads, Seton Hall 5093 according to the College Board. Substantial difference in size. I’ll bet that Drew has more endowment per undergraduate, but perhaps you would want to verify that.

Now: go ahead and use Google, collegeboard, etc. to find any other such statistics of interest to you–on your own! You will then be able to make an informed and intelligent decision.

Easy. Drew.

Drew has a much better reputation for academics - they are considered to be a “more selective school” - SH is “selective.” SH is a third tier school - Drew is #66 out of the top liberal arts schools in the country.

SH is known to be a “Party School” with lots of hard liquor, Drew is more sedate in that respect.

Drew seems to have more down-to-earth liberal feel to it and is more akin to Skidmore, Vassar, etc… SH more like Bucknell.

Drew is in a beautiful area… SH is NOT.

Basically, Drew is a much better school.
As nameaste says above: “Easy. Drew.”

thank u soo much…it was really an issue for me
