My S24 applied and was accepted very early in the cycle so itās possible he was way out in front of most applicants. Itās very possible the acceptance now will come first then merit which is more typical.
Normally, at this point in the year I wouldnāt expect the two at once. And for other colleges we are in your position where we have some acceptances and are waiting on merit.

Thank you so much. He ultimately opted not to apply to 3+3 Law and Business as he wanted to apply TO, so he went for a general History major (still a pre-law track, in his mind). He also received a merit scholarship of approx $15k/yr for 4 years which we were extremely chuffed to see. Stats: 3.2 u/w GPA (4.8 wtd with mostly honors and 3 APs); good ECs but very singularly focused on performing arts in which he has been involved for > 10 yrs. Extensive essay revision. He also made a point to show his demonstrated (and genuine) interest.
We will now try to get up to SHU to do a proper campus tour and sit in on classes, meet students, eat in the cafeteria (they offered this oppty up to prospective students but I think it only runs through end of November). Congrats to everyone on this thread with SHU acceptances !

My S24 did the day on campus. Itās really a half day. 8:30 class (2.5hrsā¦intro to IR) then lunch with a student.

S24 got his aid offer today. We were surprised he is getting $30k per year, plus $1,500 per summer.

hello d24 just heard today w an acceptance. Submitted EA last week, heard today.

apparently the acceptance site crashed today seems like everyone was clicking on it. Donāt see any letters in the portal, so no idea if this came with merit.

If you want to see the letter today you can erase everything in the portal url that comes after apply/ and replace it with the word update. Otherwise, I think we will be able to see it on the portal tomorrow. At the end of the acceptance letter there was a link to the merit letter.
And yes - we had trouble getting in to see the video but it eventually worked!
My D24 received her acceptance yesterday. Found out the merit today which is $24,500 per year plus $1500 for the summers. Crossing fingers for tuition exchange though but I know that is hard to get. Applied for business school - finance.

S24 applied 10/30 and got the video email acceptance yesterday. Havenāt heard about merit, but we are a Tuition Exchange family, so we are holding out hope for that to come through. His stats are as follows:
