***We have figured this out. Confusingly, a student has both a “username@oberlin.edu” and a “firstname.lastname@oberlin.edu” ID. Anyway, problem solved (but CC won’t let me delete my own post.)

Can anyone provide accurate instructions for setting up an Oberlin e-mail account? The “Big Book of Forms” (page 8) instructs the student to go [Center for Information Technology, Oberlin College](http://www.oberlin.edu/cit/newobie) and “follow the online instructions.” It says “you will need your username” - but [Center for Information Technology, Oberlin College](http://www.oberlin.edu/cit/newobie) asks for a username with an “@oberlin.edu” suffix - which seems to indicate the student should enter their email name, not their user name.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
