<p>Thanks to the CC game thread a year or two ago, we have added Settlers to our game closet. I want to buy one of the expansion packages, but there are so many. Does any one have any recommendations for the best options?</p>
<p>We have both Seafarers and Cities and Knights. Seafarers is a relatively straightforward expansion of the game, with islands that can be explored, the addition of ships as nautical replacements for roads, etc. Cities and Knights changes the game in a more complex manner, adding commodities to the resources produced by the various land areas., as well as different kinds of improvements to your cities and towns. Both expansions are quite good.</p>
<p>A little off topic, but if you like Settlers, you’d probably like Ticket to Ride.</p>
