Several hour long searches for misplaced items?

<p>How often does this happen to you?</p>

<p>I become really neurotic when this happens. =/</p>

<p>It used to happen whenever I misplaced LEGO figures. I went on several hour long searches just for single LEGO characters - only to discover that, frex, Nova Hunter was on top of the Pirates Ship.</p>

<p>Now I’m having the same thing again several times. Like, a clicker that I used a couple of years ago that my brother wants (I found that in a backpack pocket when I ruled everything else out a few days ago - luckily that didn’t waste much time). Now I am looking for misplaced tags. Argh. I gave up. I do seem to clean up my books in the process, but my books always turn into a giant disorganized mess within a few days of cleaning them up. >.< I usually rely on visual spatial temporal memory for books that are left all over the floors of SEVERAL rooms (which usually works), but for smaller items, I’ve had several hour long binge searches. =/</p>

<p>It doesn’t. I own a few books and a mattress.</p>

<p>I give up after about 15 minutes. Then I just convince myself that whatever it was isn’t worth that much. It has worked so far. except that i had to buy a new ipod one time, and then the old one turned up. -.-</p>

<p>Ugh, I’ve been searching for my pencil for 6 days now and I still can’t find it. :(</p>

<p>I read for the vast majority of the day. I don’t spend THAT much time on CC (hell, CC is like the only website I still have a habit of visiting)</p>

<p>i haven’t done this in a long time <em>knockwood</em> i’m generally pretty good about keeping track of the essential everyday stuff, and even though it LOOKS like a mess i can usually locate an old paper from a class or something. i lose random stuff, am sad about losing it, and then it turns up in a coat pocket or something a couple weeks later.</p>
