If you guys had to pick how to spend your summer from 4 of these choices which one would you choose and why?

Summer enrichment program at a college- Includes volunteering and classes. helps a person get accuainted with college life before college starts. but cost alot of money(~4 grand).

A job at the United Nations

A job that can help you make a bit more than 2 grand in the summer.

College credit classes at a community college

3 is first choice. $$ is nice
4 is second choice. College classes are interesting
1 is third choice. Familiarity with college
2 NEVER. **** THE UN

Why, very often. All you need to do is parade in the streets shouting anti-American and socialist propaganda in front of their building, and they shall recruit you on the spot.

One of the jobs–I’d weigh what I’d be doing at the UN (would it be interesting or busywork) against the money, or just flip a coin. Summer is not for school, and there’s college to get you accustomed to college life.

3 and 4 are tied for first, because classes sound the best to me (plus they’re not so bad in the summer, if you only take a few, it’s a very laid back feeling - you have enough to do to keep you busy and out of your pajamas all day, but not so much to do that it interferes with your summer relaxation), but 2 grand is a lot to just pass up.

Also, some colleges don’t want you to take classes before you start, so if you take community college classes, you should definately call the college you’ll be going to in the fall and ask if they’ll accept the credits. I’d go for choice 3 first, then choice 4.

Choice 2 sounds interesting…

And choice one just doensn’t sound that great to me. It sounds like TOO much work over the summer. Plus, you’d be spending more than you would at any of the others, and like somebodynew said, there’s college to get you accustomed to college life.

1: 3 because I’ve never held a job, and earning 2K sounds pretty good for someone who has no job experience.

2: 4 because I’ve always taken high school or community college classes during the summer. I like learning for enrichment purposes.

3: 2 because, I don’t know, a job at the UN? How many times have you heard of a high school student getting a job at the UN? Sounds pretty unique to me.

4: 1 because it’s too expensive. I’d have to cover 4K, and even if that included housing & food, there’s still transportation to pay for.
