hi! i’m a rising sophomore headed to sewanee for the sewanee young writer’s conference this year, and i was looking to see if anyone else was going, since i couldn’t find anything online!

about how many freshmen are there? (by freshman i mean rising sophomore)
also how does departure (if flying out) work? my parents are a bit concerned that they won’t help us check in lol
honestly i’m not sure how old anyone was but i think it was probably mostly rising juniors? i was one of the older people as a rising senior but it wasn’t rare for there to be rising sophomores.
they had us all kind of find our various airlines to check-in and then meet before going through security. i’m used to flying alone so it wasn’t an issue for me but your fellow participants and counselors would definitely help you out if you ask! everyone was very nice. i had some issues with flight delays and stayed in touch with the team through text so if there were any issues they would have come and gotten me right away
