Sexting can get kids into trouble!

<p>My advice would be: Do not destroy the email. Report to parent (if possible), to school (if possible and you think they won’t just try to ignore the situation or sweep it under the rug), or, last (if no other choice is available), to police.</p>

<p>Yes, possession (or distribution) of child pornography is a crime that is NOT depend on the perpetrator’s age. So a teen can be charged with distributing another teen’s photograph.</p>

<p>Bottom line, if you receive something like this, report it or delete it. Keep in mind, though, if you decide not to report, that the teen whose photo is being distributed may be unaware that this is going on. If it were you, wouldn’t you want it stopped?</p>
