SF Bay area summer housing

<p>DS is accepting an REU in the Stanford area. It’s at a company which does not provide housing. We’ve found a number of links for short term housing (late May - mid Aug), but not knowing the area, it’s a bit intimidating.</p>

<p>I have come to ask for ideas or suggestions from the wonderful experts here.</p>

<p>He is hoping to share with one or more of the other REU students. The work place is walking distance from the Menlo Park Caltrain station.</p>

<p>Just a cautionary note from a local: rental rates are very high and local residential real estate is in a total boom. Do not underestimate the importance of finding somewhere to live; I would pull out all the stops on this.</p>
