Any opinions? Suggestions? Which is better at which field? I’m interested in going into photography, I am just curious about the surrounding pricing of houses, the environment and the people.

I have definitely heard of Cal Arts before, but it’s not the case for SFAI.
All in all, if prestige isn’t the main factor, then if you live in SoCal but want the part of college experience of being independent, go to NorCal for SFAI; vice versa for Cal Arts.
Also, San Francisco is more expensive than Valencia. What do you mean by environment? Culturally or ecologically? The people (from what I can infer) follow the stereotypes you may hear for NorCal and SoCal. For example, the slang word “hella” is said a lot throughout the SF Bay Area. SoCal, on the other hand, says the word “like” a lot. I mean, surely people do say it in NorCal, but it’s only a word to use when forming a sentence in informal discussion. Footwear is different too…flip flops in SoCal while Sports sandals in NorCal.
I don’t think people are wearing sports sandals in SF though it’s always hella cold
