<p>I shadowed at a hospital during the summer but can I had a badge and stuff that said I was a volunteer. Can I say that I was a volunteer at the hospital on my college application?</p>
<p>Regardless of how you name it (both seem ethical, though shadowing seems more descriptive), you should honestly detail your responsibilities.</p>
