^^It’s like watching Idris Elba (Stringer Bell) in Luther.

One of my favorite things about The Wire, other than the writing and acting, is seeing the actors in other roles. It’s fun to see Wendell Pierce (Bunk), Jim True-Frost (Prez) and Clark Peters (Lester) in Treme; Amy Ryan (Beadie) in In Treatment and The Office; Michael Williams (Omar) on Boardwalk Empire; Pablo Schreiber (Nick Sobotka) on Weeds, L&O, A Gifted Man; Michael B. Jordan (Wallace) on Friday Night Lights and Parenthood, to name just a few. So many of the actors were also in Homicide: Life on the Streets and OZ. Such a talented cast.

Dollhouse - by joss whedon - Everyone in the family loved it, great story, characters and actors.

NCIS - Not sure why, but I just love the characters. My son wants to know since they kill off a petty officer a week, who is left in the navy.

The good wife and scandal, weekly must watch.

I’m still looking for a favorite comedy, so I’m lookling for rec’s in this list. I miss having
a goto comedy that can make me laugh out loud.

South Park did that for me for a while after I started watching it. I used to watch 2-3 episodes in bed every night to laugh and chill out after a long day.

Cartoons have a way of cheering me up.

I’m looking forward to “Episodes” returning to Showtime and hoping for another season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” I would rather watch reruns of Larry David than any of the new stuff on television.

LoremIpsum, I am watching Hannibal, and I watched The Following. In truth, I enjoy them, but I dread them at the same time. Excellent writing and directing, but I end an episode feeling drained.

I finally watched Sherlock, and loved it. I am a fan of Elementary as well so it is an interesting contrast on two modern takes.

And for those that love Arrested Development. New season is available exclusively through Netflix. I am guilty of watching all 15 episodes in one day.

fans self

He is so good (and gorgeous) in that show.

Python, I recommend The Middle and Modern Family.

[For those who haven’t had the pleasure of watching Idris Elba’s acting](<a href=“Stringer's 'product' meeting - YouTube”>Stringer's 'product' meeting - YouTube)

Gilmore Girls and Wonder Years for watching with kids.

West Wing I just got on DVD to watch when I expect to be recovering from surgery (looking forward to watching again). House of Cards is on my “expected to be loved must get” list.

Love lots of Masterpiece theater…which cracks me up because my parents used to watch it and (eyeroll).

alwaysamom - Thanks for the math correction!! I made the same mistake a few days ago and someone at the house redirected me. That makes it even worse. :o I’m not sure why that’s stuck in my mind…

Python - we are big fans of Scandal also.

I recently re-discovered Skippy the Bush Kangaroo after 45 years. It’s pretty much an Australian version of Flipper, complete with widowed park ranger dad and two sons, but with a kangaroo instead of a dolphin. There’s also a hot, hot, hot helicopter pilot (at least he was in 1968 -IRL he’s pushing 70 and still looks pretty good) and a teenage girl who’s a friend of the family and staying with them for a while. Nowadays, if you put a gorgeous girl in a house in the middle of nowhere with three unrelated men it would be the raunchiest thing on TV but this show is cheesy and fun and perfect escapism - what a difference almost half a century makes!

Outnumbered; a British comedy series; semi-improv with amazing repartee between the kids in the family and the parents…and a very accurate rendition of life with small kids. On Amazon Instant Video and I tunes.

The Big Brain Theory. As a former engineer, I love this show. I wish they included more math and physics discussions.

SCANDAL!!! Just watched the first season on Netflix last week. On Demand has an incomplete roster of season 2 so I am going to have to find a source for the whole season.

The Good Wife is another show that I started watching last fall and have come to really enjoy.

^ I binged on Scandal a few weeks ago and got caught up to date. Loved it! You can buy them on Amazon as soon as they air. So worth it.

Thanks, MomLive. I will check Amazon for the Scandal episodes. It is addicting!

We watched first episode of Scandal. Didn’t love it yet, but liked it enough to finish one show and consider watching more.

I watched “Scandal” 3 or 4 times but just didn’t love it. I’ve tried over and over to watch “The Good Wife” and just can’t love that either.

I’m happy that “Veep” is back - enjoying the second season.

Bridezillas!
